01/03/2020 – The Limassol Carnival

Start March off with a bang! at Limassol’s liveliest, city-wide party and enjoy an exciting day full of vibrant colour, parades, day-long partying, live music, dance and much more!

Truthfully the celebrations of the Carnival begin on February 20th but reach their zenith with the phantasmagoric Grande Parade that passes through the entire city and finishes at Limassol’s Old Port.  Enjoy a colorful array of themed floats, costumed revelers and His Majesty, the King of The Carnival!  The city’s “special sound”, the serenades performed only during this festival, is sure to enthrall you while the dancers and bands accompanying the floats through the parade will make the day unforgettable!
The end of the parade does not however mean an end to the festivities as a farewell party will be held at the Limassol Old Square well into the night, with even more costumed dancing and live music. No need to fret if the parade isn’t your cup of tea as the Municipality of Limassol also organizes art exhibitions and a freestyle costume competition for your enjoyment.

The current timetable of the Parade and Party is as follows:
Starting Point: Ayios Nikolaos Roundabout.
Ending Point: PolemidiaTraffic Lights (Fairways)
